"Ops, AI did it again!"

Capgemini recognizes, just like StackState, the importance of AI when it comes to solving incidents that happen in complex IT operations: "AI comes to the rescue of complex IT operations, improving step-by-step efficiency and reliability while it learns, on its way to full autonomy". According to Capgemini, AI for IT Operations (AIOps) aims to collect and analyze IT operations data, often in real-time, to continuously fix and improve IT operations' performance. This definition entails a lot in which StackState can provide. Like for example the ingestion of data like metrics, logs, and events. After ingestion, this data can be analyzed in real-time like Capgemini mentions. However, StackStates Time Traveling Topology also makes it possible to travel through time. This enables you to go back in time to see how incidents occurred.

Value of AIOps

One of StackState's clients, Vodafone, is also mentioned in the TechnoVision report. They explain how AIOps are impacting their business and delivers value. Vodafone correlates data across all its infrastructure layers from critical business and application services to underlying IT and network components - to discover the root cause of problems and their related business impact up to three times faster. Capgemini also mentions a few percentages from a 2018 study about the advantages that automation can deliver:

  • 76% improved company profitability

  • 87% faster product and service delivery

  • 82% improved software development
